Meeting with visitors

We met with visitors from Salt Lake City and from Melbourne and Tasmania. August 7 was the meeting; we were able to get acquainted with some wonderful church members who have great responsibilities for portions of family history in Australia. Mark Kelly, our manager is the one at the back right, with the blue tie.


Elder Graham and Sister Sue Brown, who live in Tasmania, are the Australian/PNG call centre support leaders.


Elder and Sister Blanchard, who live in Melbourne, Australia, are the call centre trainers for Australia and Papua New Guinea.


Sister Blanchard is with Sister Candace Turpin and Sister Carol Clark. Sister Turpin, supervisor of FH programs and product support, and Sister Clark, manager of instructional development, work for the church in SLC.

Warren Meyer's Retirement Dinner

Warren Meyer retired July 31, 2008, at age 72. He had served seven years as the Asia Pacific Advisor for Family History Support. Mark Kelly, our manager, is the man standing, reading an e-mail that had been sent to Warren Meyer. He is the family history support manager for Australia.

Australia's Family History Support Office in Sydney

This is the family history building.


You can see the view toward the temple that we see when we come out the front door of our building. Between us and the temple is the church administration building (Buckland House).


Tracey is coming in through the back door, the best entrance from the car park (parking lot).

A few feet from our flat is our little neighborhood shops.

We now have an apartment--a flat, as they say in Australia. We are in the apartment on the left, main floor. The front window is Tracey's bedroom.

It's time to go home, get Tracey, and fly out!

These people constitute our district at the MTC. We were all about to serve family history missions, although each with much different types of assignments.

It all started June 30, 2008 when Elder and Sister Brough entered the Missionary Training Center. Tracey was at home under the care of Eldon and Brooke (Tracey's "buddy").
