Watching for new baby bird

In the middle of a large, open, grassy area, in front of our office, sits a mother bird on her nest. She has used this location for her nest, for over three years. This picture was taken July 5.


The father is always nearby, and warns potential disturbers by spreading his wings over the nest, or swooping toward the person he's concerned about.

There are no traffic lights in the capital city, only round-abouts.


This Saturday milling crowd is 10% of what it would be on a week day.


Public transport--newest bus in town. All are privately owned.
